
Nicholas Tangen is a writer, coach, and public theologian who convenes Christians and churches who are curious about community engagement, place-based ministry, and spiritual practice. He currently serves as the Assistant to the Bishop for Faith and Neighboring at the Minneapolis Area Synod – ELCA.
In 2018 Nicholas graduated from United Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Leadership with a focus on Social Transformation. His work is grounded in the Lutheran and Benedictine traditions, asset-based community development, and a vision for the Church rooted in place and contributing to the common good.
Nicholas is available to write, speak, and facilitate group conversations about the Church, community engagement, neighborhood ministry, spiritual practice, and community organizing.
